Xcel Gymnastics

In recent years, we have switched from following the classic Junior Olympic competitive levels, which range from 1-10, and started an Xcel program. Xcel is the most recent way to train and compete within USA Gymnastics. A great aspect of the Xcel program is it allows more flexibility to tailor to the individual gymnasts, rather than having everyone compete the exact same routine to the exact same music.

XCEL SILVER

Xcel Silver corresponds to the skills required of Junior Olympic level 3. This is the first competitive level we have and they practice for six hours per week.

XCEL GOLD

Xcel Gold corresponds to the skills required of Junior Olympic levels 4-5 and some level 6 skills. These gymnasts practice for 12 hours each week.

Optional Team

The optional team starts with Xcel Platinum and continues all the way up through level 10. Beyond Level 10 is Elite, which include the gymnasts you see performing on TV. Optionals choose their own floor routine music and choreography, using the skills required for their respective competition levels. These gymnasts practice at least 16 hours per week.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the team, please call 509.783.9036 or email aj@allamericangym.org.

About

All American Gymnastics has trained an award-winning competitive gymnastics team since the gym was founded 10 years ago. Many of our competitive gymnasts have gone on to become state and/or regional champions. Currently, our program is run by head coach and co-owner AJ Schneider with the help of a few assistant coaches.
